TERMS & CONDITIONS
The following are the general terms and conditions of Litla Gámaleigan for services and/or rental of hook containers
- The customer accepts the provisions of the lease agreement and these terms and conditions by signing the lease agreement and/or upon payment of the first invoice from Litla Gámaleigan.
- The contractor takes care of all normal maintenance of own hook containers during the rental period.
- E.g. lubrication of the hinges if the doors become stiff and repairs if rust emerges. The contractor reserves the right to charge a cleaning fee if paint or other pollutants leak into/onto the container.
- If the customer has their own container, Litla Gámaleigan can offer maintenance of said container/containers for a fee according to a pre-arranged agreement. The contractor has no responsibility for containers owned by the customer.
- The customer must place a hook container in accordance with the contractor
- If a container is located against a wall, it must be located at least 2 meters from the wall.
- If the container is located in a car basement or otherwise indoors, the height of the ceiling must be a minimum of 5 meters in height.
- A hook container must be located where it is certain that the container does not disturb the traffic of cars or pedestrians.
- A hook container must be located so that it cannot cause damage to nearby places/structures due to e.g. fire, discharge of a container or other work on the container.
- Applies to places like e.g. pavements, thoroughfares, patches of grass, or paved pavements, and structures such as e.g. house walls, eaves, framing, or concrete free-standing walls.
- Only Gámaleigan ehf. can service containers owned by Litla Gámaleigan unless otherwise agreed upon beforehand.
- The customer bears all responsibility for damage that may occur to the container during the rental period. If damage occurs to a container or if a container is stolen during the rental period, the contractor reserves the right to demand compensation equal to the value of the container or the cost of repairs.
- Fire damage that may occur during the rental period to a container owned by Litla Gámaleigan, must be reported in writing to Litla Gámaleigan as soon as possible.
- If damage of any kind occurs to a container during the contract rental period, it is the contractor's responsibility to replace the container with another as soon as possible. The cost of replacing the container/containers is the responsibility of the customer. The contract does not expire in the event of damage.
- The contractor reserves the right to make changes to the price list and has the obligation to inform the customer of the planned price list changes with a month's notice. Applies to long-term contracts.
- The price of waste materials is according to price list of reception centers, and the contractor is not responsible for the notification of such changes.
- Termination of a long-term contract must be done in writing with 3 months' notice, and will take effect from the start of the following month.
- If the customer wants to terminate the contract immediately, they must pay for 3 months which equals the notice period.
- Example: if a contract is terminated on September 3rd, the termination will take effect from October 1st and the contract will expire from January 1st.
